Wakagi Golf Club

Desmond Muirhead, a genius designer who designed more than 80 golf courses around the world, chose Wakagi GC as his first course in Japan in 1991 and designed the course with his soul. The combination of a fairway flowing through the hilly land, an island green floating like an island on a hazard, and a shining bunker and hazard in the sunlight, evokes praise that it is a picture in itself. He also recreated the Old Course at St. Andrews Golf Links, a prestigious course in his hometown of St Andrews in Scotland, and shaped the faces of animals and humans with green and bunkers.
